Muskoka Roastery Coffee BBQ Sauce
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup strongly brewed Muskoka Roastery Lumberjack Coffee
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
- 4 tbsp light brown sugar
- 1 grated onion
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 tbsp sriracha
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 2 tablespoons ground cumin
- 2 tablespoons chilli powder
1. Put espresso or coffee, ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, onion, garlic, chile peppers, mustard, cumin, and chilli powder in a small pot, stir them together and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat.
2. Lower the heat so the mixture is just simmering and let simmer for 20 minutes.
3. Remove the pot from the heat, let the mixture cool.
4. Purée in a blender.
Coffee Dry Rub
- 1 1/2 Tbsp finely ground (espresso setting) Muskoka Roastery Lumberjack Coffee
- 1/2 Tbsp salt
- 1/2 Tbsp paprika
- 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 Tbsp pepper
- 1/2 Tbsp onion powder
- 1/2 Tbsp garlic powder
- 1/4 Tbsp ground coriander
2. Rub liberally on all sides of the burgers.
3. Grill over indirect heat to avoid burning and flare-ups.
4. Brush with BBQ sauce just before removing from the grill and serve with your favourite burger toppings and extra BBQ sauce.
